GSD recently placed Midas a 1 1/2 year old labradoodle who was returned to us from Paws with a Cause with a wonderful family in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Midas has found a loving home as a companion/therapy dog. We want to send a very special thank you to Eve and Gary Skidmore – owners of Holiday Bowl in Albuquerque, New Mexico – for covering the adoption and travel fees to get Midas to his new family.
Additionally, all of us at Genesis Service Dogs are sending our very best wishes to Midas’ new family, especially Sylvia. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
We were privileged to meet Midas today at a party. He was the life of that party. What a great dog and what a special placement! I am looking for a dog just like him and I hope that I will be as fortunate as his family is.
Sylvia is my sister and Midas has truly been a wonderful blessing to her AND to her children. We were just there for a visit and saw the most awesome display between Midas and 4 yr old Micayla…they were playing and wrestling like two dogs would. Not to worry…Midas was SO gentle even though he was in “play” mode. And when he is in “service” mode he is just as gentle and wonderful. “Perfect” just doesn’t seem to be a good enough word for Midas. And even though he ‘picked’ Sylvia he has enriched the lives of the entire family.
